Autumn, Spring & Summer

Exciting Update from the Angoras!

We are thrilled to report that Autumn, Spring, and Summer now have new names and a fabulous new "Lagomorph Palace" (and, of course, terrific new parents). Rosie Autumn, Ivy Spring, and Angus Summer now live with Inga and Scott, where they appear to be spoiled rotten. But wait! there's more! Inga is an artiste extraordinaire, and one of her many talents is spinning. And guess what? Rosie, Ivy, and Angus are her new 'suppliers.' That's right, their silky, gorgeous fur is being spun and knit into glamorous fabrics.

All bunnies shed 4 times a year--two 'big' sheds, and two more minor sheds. Believe it or not, Inga looks forward to shedding time, when she snuggles bunnies in her lap and gently 'plucks' them to collect their fur. They don't mind at all--like many bunnies, they thoroughly enjoy snuggle-time with 'mom' and are happy to oblige.

We are thrilled that these three have a home together (we weren't about to separate such a bonded trio) and that Inga and Scott are enjoying sharing their home and lives with our three seasons. Happy homes make our day.

Inga has a blog where she talks about her artwork, and now she's been posting about the bunnies too. You can read the whole bunny post on Dunthor Design, and you can click to buy some of the artwork on display there.

Here are some of the photos they posted of the buns in their new palace:

Here's our original posting about these beauties:

Beautiful Autumn is a wonderful mom to two gorgeous babies, Spring and Summer. One is a boy and one is a girl. All three are marvelously silky-floofly angora bunnies. Autumn adores attention,  Summer is very outgoing, and Spring is a sweet, shy little bun. All three have been altered and they are ready for adoption!

Our most recent photo of the trio. Mom Autumn is on the left, showing off her amazing orangeness,

"Smile, kids! Say "parsley!"Believe it or not, these gorgeous buns weren't always in such beautiful shape. They were dropped off at Kitsap shelter along with 20 other rabbits all grouped together.  They were dropped off on a Friday and no one really knew about them until Monday, so they spent the weekend in small cages with no food/water.  Rabbit Haven took in the two mom-and-baby groups who were in the worst shape of the bunch.

And, now, you can see the magic of Rabbit Haven that you make possible through your support. They have blossomed into the lovely auburn-furred beauties you see here. Even better, they are beauties you can have in your own home forever!

Mom, if the person looking at our photo adopts us, will they know we like carrots?"We're big bunnies who are brave enough to be in our very own photo...all by ourselves!"

Right now they are in foster care. Apparently, they love to get out into the dance studio and explore the world. Well, of course. Every little girl loves ballet class.

You missed out on  our fabulous little season-buns....

But there are plenty more wonderful buns available today!
