Tom & Jerry
Two small scoops of sweetness found the perfect home!
We're always especially thrilled when bunnies with special needs find the perfect home, and that's what happened with Tom & Jerry!
Here's an update from their new mom:
Sue,
Just an update to let you know the boys are doing excellent! They each have a favorite little stuffed animal. Jerry prefers to just lay on his "little mule" but Tom carries his little penguin around with his teeth - I kid you not! When we bring their clean fleece up, warm out of the dryer, they roll and roll on it and enjoy the warmth. Too cute! They have yet to chew a single hole in it.... but they probably will today now that I've said that! Tom exclusively uses the litter to pee in but Jerry continues to prefer the fleece. Of course they both poop all over, but the girls have a little hand sweeper they use about three times a day. The boys are a little too spoiled:) Their favorite place to sleep is on top of the box you gave them, even Jerry. They've gotten a few monitored play dates in the adjoining room, much to their enjoyment. Boy, can they move. Their favorite treat seems to be brussel sprouts. I only let the girls give them 1 each every other day since I dont want to overdo it. They get lettuce, celery and carrots every day tho. I just wanted to make sure the brussels didn't give them the runs. Hasn't seemed to.
I've rambled long enough! Have a great Friday!

Here's our original post about Tom and Jerry:
Tom and Jerry are two little petite fellows that are as sweet as can be...which is pretty amazing, considering how bad their lives were before they got to Rabbit Haven. They were in a terrible outdoor hutch with significant injuries. They were ignored and abused, and were rescued just before...well...just before things got even worse for them.
Their cuteness knows no bounds.
They are such lovely little buns. Both had significant injuries which have left them with permanent issues...Ben has one leg that healed badly after a break, and Jerry actually lost part of one of his legs to an injury. But, you would never know it. They are both cheerful, active little dudes who love looking on the bright side of life!
'Hey! I think I see a way to get in trouble! C'mon!"
Shani was cleaning their cage the other day, and was delighted to see them running around like crazy and having a blast...even on a slippery floor! They were just fine and happy as clams to play, play, play! In fact, they were so happy they kept dashing under things, and Sue and Shani had to keep headin' them off at the pass so that they could catch them! They're super-dooper fun and ridiculously cute.
mmmmm.....comfy.
Tom simply thinks of himself as permanently doing the hokey-pokey.
"The view here is much better than our old place, dontcha think?"
Both bunnies agree that 'perfect back right legs' are overrated.
Jerry in full exploration mode.
